Georgia SoftWorks Announces Telnet Server for Windows Feature Release


Georgia SoftWorks (GSW) releases the latest version of the GSW Telnet Server for Windows. Version 8.09.0003 is now available for shipping and distribution.

Georgia SoftWorks announces the release of their UTS (Telnet Server for Windows and SSH Server for Windows). Version 8.09.0003. The GSW UTS is excellent with mobile devices in RFID, RF Terminal, Bar Code scanners and other data collection and wireless environments.

The latest version of the GSW Telnet Server for Windows includes several major new features. Client self-termination has been added, allowing a user to terminate a session without involving the system administrator. When the new Device and Client Information Strings are enabled, a number of environmental variables can be accessed by the application to obtain device and client information. Third-party clients that have mouse support can now operate with the GSW UTS, such as the GSW ConnectBot and PuTTY. There is now a maximum number of third-party logon attempts before the session is disconnected, as well as a logon inactivity timeout added. The GSW UTS now has the capability to enable and disable the status bar and task bar, and even change the Title Bar content. There were also defect resolutions as well as documentation updates.
